The Great Underground Empire!

Image result for Zork I

Good evening ladies and gents, today is going to be the discussion about one of my favorite IFs I have ever played. Although, the last time I had played this game by myself, was about 6-8 years ago, so I was definitely in for a refresher.

There are a lot of secrets surrounding the game Zork I, and many of them I have come to enjoy and be able to explore. Below is a playthrough of the beginning of the game I played. I spent about 1h30mins just cruising around and getting as many treasures as I could.

With this speedrun, the Pt. 2 file was slightly corrupted with the audio, however this is a list of the treasures I was able to easily obtain:
1. Jeweled egg / Clockwork Canary

2. Grail
3. Leather Bag of Coins
4. Bell
5. Gold Coffin
6. Painting
7. Pot of Gold
8. Platinum Bar
9. and the Crystal Skull

I had terrible RNG when it came to the troll fight and had to 'restore' twice due to the fact that my character couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

However, other than that, the treasures were fairly easy to obtain as I had begun remembering the paths I used to take back in the day.

Overall the experience was fun, and I definitely recommend anyone to give the game a try. A lot of the walkthroughs online are out of date, so I can't really recommend those to you, but give it the good 'ole try and see if you can become a Master Adventurer!

ADVENTURE Playthrough (Colossal Cave Adventure)

Below are the beginning and ending parts of a playthrough I recently did of an IF game known as ADVENTURE.

Part one and Part two are below in sequential order, I apologize for the lack of sound, we will fix it for the next set of recordings!

Enjoy.

Good Afternoon Adventurers

"The chilled kiss of the morning wind graces you as you relinquish the safety of your shelter. Already glints of sunlight begin to capture your gaze off of the falling flakes of white powder. An adventure awaits, one you must discover for yourself..."

Good afternoon to everyone!

My name is David, and realistically this blog will be an escape for me to post about interesting things that we are learning/discussing in my Interactive Fiction class. Essentially, you'll be exposed to any original creations made by myself, or you'll get to enjoy reactions of mine to various IF titles that I'd be playing through. It'll be quite the variety and I hope you enjoy!
